Delaying Life

Moving from one place to another is disruptive. Wrapping up, clearing out, closing down, leaving finally. Traveling. Physical arriving. Unloading, unpacking, setting up, errands!, settling in, creating new structure.

The emotional arriving happens later. The creative arriving takes even longer. Projects delayed, inspirations suppressed. The nagging muse being told: "I hear you, but not now. I'm overwhelmed."

A part of me demands vibrant creative life and connection, now! But the process of settling takes its own time and a great deal of patience.
