Scouting

I really enjoy the act of seeing. A setting, the light, the colors cause scenes and stories to pop to mind, complete. Look at those bricks reflected so sharply in the window! The pinks and blues of the buildings, shadows, mountains. I can find visual joy in any alley.

This week, scouting locations for Nearly Departed, it's a pleasure to pair pre-written script pages with real places, and see the story come to life. The interiors and exteriors, and especially the light, are silent characters of depth and scale.
