Thank you, Mystic!

It's an honor to be once again recognized by the Mystic Film Festival as a finalist in their Short Narrative Screenplay competition with my project "Amber, 1987."

I'm drawn to the ways children quietly observe and absorb adult instability. Amber is old enough to understand more than she's supposed to, and young enough to still be entirely dependent on an unreliable parent.

This story explores loss of innocence and the sometimes irreconcilable contradictions in a parent's behavior.
